Data Recovery
Data recovery is the process of salvaging data from damaged, failed, corrupted, or inaccessible storage media when it cannot be accessed normally. Whether it’s an important business document, photographs, financial data, in the event of something happening to your computer all this can be lost. But in the majority of cases, this data can be retrieved using data recovery techniques and procedures. So if you’ve lost data through accidental deletion, a PC that will no longer boot, partitioning your hard drive, or even formatting, then there is a chance that we can still recover your valuable data.
Virus and Spyware Removal
Computer viruses and spyware have plagued computer users for many years. A good and regularly updated virus scanner will take most of the risk away but no virus scanner is 100% foolproof. Viruses and spyware can come in many forms including:
- Trojans: These appear like a useful program, but in fact create a ‘back door’ to your machine to allow unauthorised access to others. This is obviously a huge security risk.
- Worms: These are designed to self replicate and though in many cases they don’t harm your computer as such, they can cause big problems in networks by consuming valuable bandwidth as they replicate and spread.
- Virus: In terms of causing damage to your PC, these are the most dangerous. They are designed to alter configuration of your PC, delete files, infect files, and spread.
- Spyware & Adware: Used to monitor your internet activity, redirect you to various sites on the internet when browsing, display random pops ups, and trick you into purchasing software. If you have an excessive amount of pop ups appearing, or if you have software on your PC which you don’t remember installing and its asking you to pay for a ‘full’ version then there’s a high chance that your PC is infected.
We are capable of cleaning your PC if infected with any of these threats and we will also advise you on how to prevent such infections from occurring again.
PC Health Check and Tune up
Just like you would have your car serviced to keep it running efficiently and reduce problems in later life, it is also important to give your PC a regular ‘tune up’ in order to keep it running smoothly and at a good speed. Our health checks include a full Virus and Spyware scan using the very latest anti virus engines, and removal where necessary. We will also clean up junk files, remove unnecessary programs from starting up automatically, speed up your hard drives, advise changes to the configuration where necessary, and check the health and efficiency of your hardware.
We aim to have you PC running as fast as it was on the day you bought it, preferably even faster!
We like to be as transparent as possible in the work we do, so we always give your PC back with a full detailed report on the tasks we have carried out along with any recommendations for further improvement. It is also important to note that we will never delete any program from your PC without first consulting you.

In fact some encrypted wireless connections may leave the user feeling secure, but can be hacked in under 10 minutes by a competent hacker.
